Being a mum I realized that you have to know your priorities. Which is more important- housework or your children among other things such as career and your own self? All plays an important role and requires their own attention. However, recently I have come to the conclusion that my kids development are far more important than a tidy house. Not that I haven't thought of this in the past two years while my eldest was still a baby. I wasn't really fussing about it then as I believe that babies will find their way, discover things and solve problems in their own pace.
Edward has been going to nursery for sometime and being in a conventional setting gets a bit of getting used to. Considering he was born 10 weeks early I am not expecting huge things from him as long as he's happy and learning in his own way. Although he is attending a traditional nursery I am determined to apply the Montessori approach in our home. It will be an interesting combination having two different educational philosophy but I have faith that my child will flourish in either. Though as a mother I have to persevere in providing him the best environment and set examples. So wish me luck.
No matter how cluttered the house has become, this photo will always put a smile on my face.
