what I do...

Hi!! What to do when you can't get back to sleep??? Do some editing. As much I like the soft hazy effect I still miss the traditional coloured images. It's so easy to go back to what you're comfortable with sometimes and be daunted of the unknown. In my case it's the easy way at the moment.
Now..back to bed.

keep smiling

Hello! Well, the weather wasn't very cooperative today. It was snowing all day and perhaps tonight it might settle. So, the planned trip to the zoo was cancelled. I was determined to keep my toddler occupied hence we were painting, playing with his trains, blowing bubbles, inflating balloons and even put a two-man tent inside.. sigh.. the fun of motherhood. But it's all good fun.
In the afternoon I sneaked in upstairs with Nina and took some photos. She certainly brightens up my day.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend..

to be or not to be..

Hi! It's midweek and I've been doing school runs the last few days under a very unpredictable weather.. think we must have the four seasons. The minute it's sunny then rain come snow and sleet. So is my photographic conquest.. sigh.. I have been trying to achieve a soft, dreamy effect on my photographs which you probably know can be quite time consuming. To be honest I could just probably buy presets from famous sites but being stubborn I wanted to learn how the pros did it. So far so frustrating as it's like a hit and miss situation. Sometimes I like what I come up with then all of a sudden I think 'no' it's totally crap and bad editing.
I was told by someone that I don't take chances or try something new.. well I have tried and my patience is running out. Do I really want to spend time messing up with images or come up with a natural beautiful shot. Photography in a way is evolving but do I really want to jump in the bandwagon and do what everybody does??? The answer is still unknown. I have to figure this out myself. I am obviously out of my comfort zone in this sense but will it be worth it? I'll let you know once I find out.. for now enjoy the rest of the working week. :-)

bring me sunshine

Hello! We have been blessed with some lovely early spring sunshine recently. It's nice because I could take the kids out for a stroll and we could spend more time in the garden. I still have to make ours more child friendly really so Edward can play a bit more. At the moment I only have a slide which he loves..love the look on his face when he's on it. Have a nice day.

Playing with some empty pots..
